Jeff Brown
Jeff was a mobile defenseman who played 747 NHL games and scored 154 goals, 430 assists and 584 points, over 13 seasons. Born in 1966, and raised in Nepean, Jeff played four years of OHL junior hockey with the Sudbury Wolves and was a 1986 OHL First-Team All-Star.
Chosen 36th overall in the 1984 entry draft by the Quebec Nordiques, Jeff was a top point-producer, scoring 13 power play goals in 88/89.
Traded to St Louis in 1990, Jeff had 5 seasons of 10 goals or better, including 92/93 when he scored 25 goals and 53 assists for 78 points.
Vancouver Canucks traded for Jeff in March of 1994. His mobility and experience helped the Canucks to the Stanley Cup Final, and one win away from winning it all.
Jeff subsequently played for the Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals. He retired after the 97/98 season, with the reputation of being one of the best power-play specialists of his time.
